Nicola, you were the person I looked up to and aspired to be. We were so similar but yet so different. I don’t think I could have been as brave or as strong as you have been over the last few years, I am in awe of your resilience and courage.
There are so many memories…
I remember sitting in your room (probably driving you crazy) when you were getting ready to go out with your college friends. I was always desperate to come out with you all. Although there was an age gap between us you always made the effort to do things with me. You took me to my first concert, when you were at university in Newcastle (I think this is when your love of Ant and Dec first started).
When the time came for me to go to university I can remember choosing Manchester, thinking you would be close by and would look after me if I didn’t like being away from home. It didn’t quite go to plan as you moved to Nottingham not long after I started. You did however always look out for me.
We have had so many days out, nights out, holidays, weddings, babies and adventures. Those memories will live on forever.
We always knew tomorrow wasn’t promised and you made the most of every moment. You achieved so much, visited so many places and enjoyed life to the full.
You certainly did it all and I am so proud of you.
Love you forever
Cheryl xx
